How to Apply
Requirements
Clinic volunteer applicants must be 18 years of age or older, be willing to commit to 6 consecutive months of service, and be able to work 4 hours per week.
Hangers of Hope volunteer applicants must be 16 years of age or older unless accompanied by a chaperone who also is a volunteer.
New Volunteer Process:
1. Apply using the correct link below (operations, medical, dental, or Hangers of Hope).
2. Schedule an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
3. Select your role and begin the onboarding process.
4. All volunteers must pass a background check before they begin serving.
During the interview, you will learn about the specific volunteer opportunities that best match your skills and schedule.

Does Bethesda provide preceptorship opportunities?
Preceptorships at Bethesda are limited to one placement per semester. Preceptorships for Spring 2026 have been filled and are currently unavailable. Please email ahoppers@bethesdaclinic.org if you are interested in Summer 2026 placement opportunities.
What positions do you have available currently?
Our volunteer needs are always changing and current opportunities will be discussed during your volunteer interview.

– Lindale Clinic Front Desk (Wednesdays 8-12pm)

Does Bethesda provide shadowing opportunities?
College students who are actively pursuing a future in healthcare may be able to shadow one of our providers. Shadowing opportunities may be available on Tuesdays, for a maximum of 4 hours. Please email ahoppers@bethesdaclinic.org if you would like more information about shadowing at Bethesda. Space is very limited.Â
Can I complete my court-appointed community service at Bethesda?
Court-appointed community service cannot be completed at Bethesda Health Clinic or Bethesda Pediatrics, but they can be completed at Hangers of Hope. If you have questions about disciplinary community service, please contact Terry Marrow tmarrow@bethesdaclinic.org or (430) 280-5402.
