Danny Price, MD
Pediatric Medical Director

Danny Price, M.D., is the medical director and head pediatrician at Bethesda Pediatrics.

He attended Trinity University, went to medical school at UTSW Dallas, and did his residency at Children’s Dallas. After doing some mission trips to Kenya, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, he left for India with his wife, Lori, and daughter, Abigail for a four year mission; and his son, Benjamin, was born there.

Fishing, tennis and working outside on the acreage they recently moved to are fun. He loves serving at Grace Community Church. But nothing makes him more proud than his two kids.

K.T. Helgesen, NP
Nurse Practitioner

Kathleen “KT” Helgesen is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, certified in primary care. She completed her nurse practitioner degree from Duke University in 2008. She also completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from California State University, Fresno in 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene University.

KT has a passion for missions, children and travel! She has been to 39 countries across 6 continents and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She brings experience in patient care, leadership, and education, having taught at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels.

KT strives to find opportunities to not only meet patient’s physical needs, but also to check in on their emotional and spiritual needs.

Deirdre Leung, NP
Nurse Practitioner

Deirdre Leung is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified in family practice. She completed her family nurse practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2011. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing also at UT Tyler in 2005.

Deirdre has worked as a nurse practitioner in the pediatric population since 2016. She has a passion for helping children meet their full potential physically, emotionally and spiritually. She also works at the University of Texas at Tyler teaching future nurses how to care for the pediatric and mother/baby population. She has also worked in oncology, orthopedics, urgent care, and hospice.

Deirdre is also active in volunteer and community organizations and has served with the Junior League of Tyler, Children’s Advocacy Center, St. Paul Children’s Services, the American Cancer Society, Nurses Christian Fellowship, Sigma Theta Tau, medical mission trips, and at her church. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and two children.

Alexandra Brantley
Mental Health Counselor

Alexndra joined Bethesda in 2024 and serves as a counselor at Bethesda Pediatrics. She works with children and adolescents to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues by providing therapy, support, and guidance to help combat challenges such as anxiety, depression, and developmental disorders.

Alexandra earned he BA in psychology and MA in clinical mental health counseling from UT Tyler.

She said, “I am the biggest dog lover you will ever know. My golden retriever Bear is my world!”

Lizeth Zavala
Mental Health Counselor

Lizeth Zavala joined the Bethesda team in 2024.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a passion for helping adults and families get the care they need.

Lizeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC Associate) under the supervision of Kim Camp, M.A., LPC-Supervisor. Under the supervision of Kim Camp, she provides compassionate counseling services to children, adolescents and adults.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at Tyler and has completed extensive training and supervised practice to become an LPC Associate in Texas.
