We are excited to introduce Bethesda Pediatrics, a program of Bethesda Health Clinic, committed to providing exceptional care for your children.
Our Story
Bethesda Pediatrics was established in 2023 through a partnership with St. Paul Children’s Medical and Dental Services.
As an extension of Bethesda Health Clinic, which has been serving uninsured working adults since 2003, we are dedicated to offering outstanding healthcare services for your children.
The Bethesda Pediatrics Difference
We provide medical and dental screenings for all children enrolled in the Tyler Independent School District Head Start Program, as well as numerous other school districts in within Region 7.
We are a proud participant in the Reach Out and Read program, a national early childhood literacy program that makes early literacy a standard part of pediatric primary care. We distribute books to children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years and advise parents on the benefits of reading aloud to their little ones.

Thinking of Going to the Emergency Room?
If you have an emergency call 911.
But if not, call us before making a decision!
Bethesda Pediatrics partners with CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital to provide 24/7 after-hours coverage for our patients.
It’s easy! All you have to do is call us at 903-531-9455 and you will reach the well-trained staff of nurses and the rotating group of pediatricians who can help you and your child when our office is closed.
When appropriate we hope to prevent you from making an ER visit.
Providers
Danny Price, MD
Pediatric Medical Director
Danny Price, M.D., is the medical director and head pediatrician at Bethesda Pediatrics.
He attended Trinity University, went to medical school at UTSW Dallas, and did his residency at Children’s Dallas. After doing some mission trips to Kenya, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, he left for India with his wife, Lori, and daughter, Abigail for a four year mission; and his son, Benjamin, was born there.
Fishing, tennis and working outside on the acreage they recently moved to are fun. He loves serving at Grace Community Church. But nothing makes him more proud than his two kids.
K.T. Helgesen, NP
Nurse Practitioner
Kathleen “KT” Helgesen is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, certified in primary care. She completed her nurse practitioner degree from Duke University in 2008. She also completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from California State University, Fresno in 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene University.
KT has a passion for missions, children and travel! She has been to 39 countries across 6 continents and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She brings experience in patient care, leadership, and education, having taught at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels.
KT strives to find opportunities to not only meet patient’s physical needs, but also to check in on their emotional and spiritual needs.
Dentist
Dr. Preeti D’Souza graduated from the College of Dental Surgery in Mangalore, India in 1997 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. She moved to California with her husband in 2001 and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 at the University of Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Dr. D’Souza developed a passion for Public Health when the opportunity arose to work at a community health clinic, and she eventually worked for Contra Costa County where she started the first dental clinic for the homeless in 2015 in Concord, CA.
D’Souza’s family of 6 (3 daughters and a son) relocated to a small homestead in East Texas in 2021, and they are enjoying the simple country life. She said, “I believe that God led us on a journey, through some arduous paths and challenges and brought us to our very own Canaan. We give Him all the praise and glory!”
Dr. D’Souza feels truly blessed to be a part of Bethesda Pediatrics, for being the hands and feet of Jesus in the community by her work.
