John English, MD
Dr. John English is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing medicine since 1993. Prior to becoming the Medical Director of Bethesda Health Clinic, he practiced medicine at Trinity Clinic in Tyler, Texas. John holds a M.D. degree from U.T. Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Matt Humphries, MD
Dr. Matt Humphries is board certified in Family Practice, and he has been practicing medicine since 1996. From 1996 to 2015, Matt served as a Medical Missionary in East Asia with the International Mission Board. Matt holds a M.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and he completed his residency at the University of Alabama. Matt also holds a B.S. in Biology from Baylor University.
Taylor Holland, DDS
Dr. Taylor Holland joined Bethesda fulltime in 2016 following 47 years in private practice. Taylor is a member of the Smith County Dental Society, East Texas Dental Society, Texas Dental Association and American Dental Association. Taylor holds a D.D.S from Baylor University College of Dentistry. He also graduated from Tyler Jr. College and holds a B.A. in Biology from North Texas State University.
Lianne Hanson, MD
Dr. Lianne Hanson-Sanchez volunteered at Bethesda for many years before joining the staff in 2016. Prior to Bethesda, Lianne was in private practice in Albuquerque New Mexico. Lianne holds an M.D. from Tulane Medical School. Her internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology was completed at the University of California, San Diego. Her undergraduate degree is from UCLA.
Joni Palaparthi, DDS
Dr. Jony Palaparthi joined Bethesda in 2018. She is a member of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Jony holds a D.D.S. from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, Philadelphia.
Elisa Morrison, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Elisa worked as an FNP for Bethesda clinic for 8 years before taking a position as a full-time clinical instructor for UT Tyler School of Nursing in 2018. In this capacity, she trains nurse practitioner students how to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. She considers it a huge blessing to practice at Bethesda and to be able to expose students to working in this setting. Elisa completed her BSN at UT Tyler in 2004, her MSN at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2009 and her DNP at UT Arlington’s DNP in 2021. She also serves as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve, drilling once a month in Fort Worth.
Andrea Loyd, APRN, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Andrea Loyd joined Bethesda in 2010 as a nurse practitioner working part-time. She became a nurse practitioner to serve people and help them feel empowered to improve their health. Said Andrea, “I see myself as a tool that God can use to help people in a practical way, fulfilling God’s call on my life as a teenager to go into a healthcare.” Andrea has a BS in Biology from Hardin Simmons University, a BS in Nursing from UT Arlington, and a MS in Nursing from UT Arlington. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society in Nursing and the East Texas Nurse Practitioners Association.
Priscilla Pichon, PA-C, MPH
Priscilla joined Bethesda in 2020 and is the newest addition to our provider team! She is passionate about helping the underserved and is a perfect fit at Bethesda! Priscilla is from Chapel Hill, Texas, and both of her parents are from Peru. She recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a Master of PA Studies. She also holds a BS in Biology and Master of Public Health with a specialization in Community Health Education from Baylor.
