John English, M.D.
CEO, Medical Director
Dr. John English is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing medicine since 1993. Prior to becoming the Medical Director of Bethesda Health Clinic, he practiced medicine at Trinity Clinic in Tyler, Texas. John holds a M.D. degree from U.T. Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Matt Humphries, M.D.
Primary Care Physician
Dr. Matt Humphries is board certified in Family Practice, and he has been practicing medicine since 1996. From 1996 to 2015, Matt served as a Medical Missionary in East Asia with the International Mission Board. Matt holds a M.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and he completed his residency at the University of Alabama. Matt also holds a B.S. in Biology from Baylor University.
Lianne Hanson-Sanchez, M.D.
Dr. Lianne Hanson-Sanchez volunteered at Bethesda for many years before joining the staff in 2016. Prior to Bethesda, Lianne was in private practice in Albuquerque New Mexico. Lianne holds an M.D. from Tulane Medical School. Her internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology was completed at the University of California, San Diego. Her undergraduate degree is from UCLA.
Priscilla Pichon, PA-C, MPH
Priscilla joined Bethesda in 2020 and is the newest addition to our provider team! She is passionate about helping the underserved and is a perfect fit at Bethesda! Priscilla is from Chapel Hill, Texas, and both of her parents are from Peru. She recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a Master of PA Studies. She also holds a BS in Biology and Master of Public Health with a specialization in Community Health Education from Baylor.
Elisa Morrison, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Elisa worked as an FNP for Bethesda clinic for 8 years before taking a position as a full-time clinical instructor for UT Tyler School of Nursing in 2018. In this capacity, she trains nurse practitioner students how to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. She considers it a huge blessing to practice at Bethesda and to be able to expose students to working in this setting. Elisa completed her BSN at UT Tyler in 2004 and her MSN at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2009. She is currently enrolled full-time in UT Arlington’s DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2021. She also serves as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve, drilling once a month in Fort Worth. In her free time, she practices yoga at home and in a local studio, and enjoys reading, knitting, camping, hiking and spending time with her family.
Andrea Loyd, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
Andrea Loyd joined Bethesda in 2010 as a nurse practitioner working part-time. She became a nurse practitioner to serve people and help them feel empowered to improve their health. Said Andrea, “I see myself as a tool that God can use to help people in a practical way, fulfilling God’s call on my life as a teenager to go into a healthcare.” Andrea has a BS in Biology from Hardin Simmons University, a BS in Nursing from UT Arlington, and a MS in Nursing from UT Arlington. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society in Nursing and the East Texas Nurse Practitioners Association. Andrea has been married to Frank, a local emergency room physician, for 23 years. They have two children. Andrea loves to spend time outdoors, read, and spend time with her puppy dogs.
Taylor H. Holland III, D.D.S.
Dr. Taylor Holland joined Bethesda fulltime in 2016 following 47 years in private practice. Taylor is a member of the Smith County Dental Society, East Texas Dental Society, Texas Dental Association and American Dental Association. Taylor holds a D.D.S from Baylor University College of Dentistry. He also graduated from Tyler Jr. College and holds a B.A. in Biology from North Texas State University.
Jony Palaparthi, D.D.S.
Dr. Jony Palaparthi joined Bethesda in 2018. She is a member of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Jony holds a D.D.S. from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, Philadelphia.
Nathan Guess, D.D.S.
Nathan Guess joined Bethesda in 2020 as a part-time General Dentist. Nathan has deep ties to East Texas, with his family living in Oakwood, TX. He chose the profession of dentistry because he desired to help those around him have confidence to spread the Joy of the Lord through their smile. Nathan graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Biology before attending UT Health San Antonio, College of Dentistry in 2019. He then moved to Columbus, OH for a year of continuing dental education. He works part time at Cooley Cosmetic and Family Dental. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Valerie, and his Mini Australian Shepherd, Taryn
