REPORTS TO: Community Outreach Coordinator

Key Performance Areas:
- Coordinate a volunteer recruitment and training program.
- Oversee volunteer scheduling and ongoing training.
- Maintain ongoing church relations.

The volunteer coordinator will oversee the volunteer program of the clinic by recruiting, orienting and placing volunteers for training in the various duties of the clinic. The coordinator will also work with the various local congregations to maintain a good level of communication and also recruit new volunteers as well as work with church teams on various volunteer tasks. Specific duties will be listed below, but it is intended that this position be a full-charge position responsible for all volunteer operations of the clinic.

- Recruit, interview and place applicants for volunteer work
- Survey staff regularly to assess needs for volunteer assistance
- Work with Marketing and professional associations to publicize opportunities for volunteers (in conjunction with Development)
- Host and attend recruiting events within the community to attract qualified candidates (in conjunction with Development)
- Develop, promote and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization

Texas Mission of Mercy

Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) free dental and vision services will be provided on Saturday, February 24th. Registration starts 6:00AM at the Robert M. Rogers Nursing & Health Sciences Center located at 1200 E. 5th St., Tyler, Texas 75701. Some registrants will be sent to Bethesda Health Clinic, located at 409 W. Ferguson St., Tyler 75702. Services may include fillings, extraction, cleanings and eye exams.

Winter Weather Closures

Because of wintry weather predicted overnight, Bethesda Health Clinic will follow Tyler ISD closures.

Bethesda's largest fundraiser of the year raises $140K

On September 16th, the Bethesda Alliance hosted the 2017 Bethesda Birthday Bash and raised $140,000 for Bethesda Health Clinic. A very special thanks to Gina Butler and Sherri Soules who were co-chairs of the event. Without Gina and Sherri, and without a great Alliance, it would not have been possible. We are grateful for each and every Alliance member, volunteer and staff member who contributed time and talent to help make the event a great success!

Bethesda wins Health & Wellness category of CU Do Good campaign
