“I joined the Bethesda board because I have a desire to get more involved in my community, invest in a great ministry, and meet new people in the process. I grew up at FBC Tyler and remember helping carry supplies over to Bethesda when it was just a few stalls with curtains in the back of the Tyler Family Assistance Center, so it’s fun to see how the ministry has grown.”

Aaron is married to Amy. They have 2 children, Ava (12) and Olivia “Livi (7). Aaron has lived in Tyler his entire life.
“Dr. English, Krysti McWha and especially Melissa Briscoe were kind enough to allow me to formulate a strategic plan for Bethesda for my Masters Capstone project. They truly opened the books to me. When comparing my project with my classmate’s projects, I became aware of just how much more these three gave to me than all the other companies profiled. When given a chance to serve, I jumped at the chance to repay their kindness. The fact that Bethesda aligns with my profession and faith is a bonus.”
Fun Facts: I am attempting to teach myself how to play the bass guitar. Based on my progress, I’m really glad I still have a day job.
Steve is married to June. They have 2 adult children, Andy (50) and Hollie (49). Steve has lived in Tyler for 40 years.
“As a practicing urologist, I was aware of the good work done here.”
Fun Facts: In 1972, I finished my internship, and the U.S. Air Force sent me and my wife and our two children, ages 8 months and 23 months, to Greece on the island of Crete. That was when I learned how strong my wife was. Those two years were the best two of my life, and I think hers also. It was our first (long) visit to a foreign country – by the way a wonderful country.

“Being a board member provides me an opportunity to repay the Tyler community through Bethesda Health Clinic, and for the opportunity provided to me for the busy medical practice that was mine before I retired.”
Fun Facts: When my high school football coach complimented a team member for his attitude, identifying him only as “the guy on the team with the least natural ability,” one of my friends told me the coach was talking about me.
Ramsey is married to Bethany. They have 3 children, Darby Grace (11), Claire Joy (9), and Audrey Kate (5).
Ramsey was born and raised in Tyler.
“I joined the Bethesda Board because I had been praying for an opportunity to serve, and God provided me with an opportunity to join the Bethesda board. I enjoy serving others. I always heard what a wonderful organization Bethesda was, and I wanted to learn more.”
Fun Facts: I enjoy spending my time with my family participating in outdoor activities. I have always enjoyed numbers.

Shelly is married to Shane. They have 4 teenage children, Nicholas (16), Mason (16), Andrew (16) and Alexandra (14). Shelly has lived in Tyler for 18 months.

Becky, a 30-year resident of Tyler, is married to Kirk Western, and they have two adult children, Kevin, 31 and Brian, 26.

Retired/Tyler ISD Campus Administrator
Retired from Tyler ISD in June, 2020 after 38 years of service including service in Grand Prairie ISD and Alief ISD.
I have lived in Tyler for 27 years. I have three adult children (Brizhette, Branden and Briana) and four grandchildren (Madelyn, Makenna, Mallory and Mayhson).
I continue to be impressed with the mission and work of Bethesda Health Clinic. Being a board member grants an opportunity for me to continue honoring God as a servant leader. In the coming years, I look forward to working with the dynamic individuals on the current board to embody and push forward Bethesda’s vision ‘to serve and honor Christ by inspiring our neighbors to live an abundant life, a life that is healthy in mind, body and spirit, a life that is meaningful, purposeful, joyful and eternal’.
Fun Fact: I am the 10th of ten children. My parents raised five sons, five daughters, and were married for 70 years.

Katy is married to David, and they have two daughters together, Lilly (11) and Paige (9). Katy an her family have lived in Tyler for seven years.
“I felt both humbled and grateful when I was asked to serve on the Bethesda Board of Directors. I believe in the mission of this wonderful organization of bringing quality healthcare to the working, uninsured, and through the process, showing Christ’s love to all who enter.
Fun Facts: An avid reader, Katy will read anything that is put in front of her. When she isn’t reading, she is walking her golden retriever, Cali.
