“Fritter McNally called and told me I was going to be on the board, so I followed her instructions.Â Seriously though, I believe in Bethesda’s mission because it serves our communioty in a compassionate and respectful manner.Â It provides a much needed service to its patients but also provides an avenue for them to give back.Â That appealed to me.”

“Dr. English, Krysti McWha and especially Melissa Briscoe were kind enough to allow me to formulate a strategic plan for Bethesda for my Masters Capstone project. They truly opened the books to me. When comparing my project with my classmate’s projects, I became aware of just how much more these three gave to me than all the other companies profiled. When given a chance to serve, I jumped at the chance to repay their kindness. The fact that Bethesda aligns with my profession and faith is a bonus.”
Fun Facts: I am attempting to teach myself how to play the bass guitar. Based on my progress, I’m really glad I still have a day job.
Steve is married to June.Â They have 2 adult children, Andy (50) and Hollie (49).Â Steve has lived in Tyler for 40 years.

Fun Facts: In 1972, I finished my internship, and the U.S. Air Force sent me and my wife and our two children, ages 8 months and 23 months, to Greece on the island of Crete.Â That was when I learned how strong my wife was.Â Those two years were the best two of my life, and I think hers also.Â It was our first (long) visit to a foreign country – by the way a wonderful country.

I grew up at FBC Tyler and remember helping carry supplies over to Bethesda when it was just a few stalls with curtains in the back of the Tyler Family Assistance Center, so it’s fun to see how the ministry has grown.”

Sue retired from TCA Cable TV / Cox Communications, where she was Sr. VP of Marketing and VP of Public Affairs.
She has lived in Tyler since 1981 (38 years).
“I have served on several boards in Tyler, and as with those I’ve served on, Bethesda’s mission is dear to my heart. I love serving a Christian organization that helps those who are not as fortunate as many. These hard-working individuals only need a hand up and, but for the grace of God, could be any of us.”
Fun Fact: I have walked nearly 8,000 miles since I began tracking my walks in mid-2014. It’s my goal to walk outdoors 4 or 5 miles a day, rain or shine. Walking is a wonderful way to meet my neighbors and get to know everyone’s dog.

Don is married to Betty Ann.Â They have 4 adult children, Steve, Karen, Julie and Kyle.Â Don has lived in Tyler for 50 years.

Fun Facts: When my high school football coach complimented a team member for his attitude, identifying him only as “the guy on the team with the least natural ability,” one of my friends told me the coach was talking about me.
Tim is married to Jennifer.Â They have 3 children, Trent (26), Clayton (22) and Lindsey (18).Â Tim was born in Tyler.

Ramsey was born and raised in Tyler.
“I joined the Bethesda Board because I had been praying for an opportunity to serve, and God provided me with an opportunity to join the Bethesda board. I enjoy serving others. I always heard what a wonderful organization Bethesda was, and I wanted to learn more.”
