Our clinic partners with more than 25 major community organizations. Collectively, these organizations donate tens of thousands of dollars in professional medical services, medical supplies, and other program-related services and in-kind donations. We estimate the value of these services and supplies was more than $600,000 in 2011 alone.
Christian Women’s Job Corp participants attend special weekly nutrition classes at the clinic as they go through the nutrition and diabetes programs.
East Texas Food Bank collaborates with Bethesda’s nutritionist to teach classes at the clinic.
East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System donates medical services.
First Baptist Church helped found Bethesda Health Clinic. The church pays the lease on the building housing the clinic, pays the insurance, and makes a monthly contribution to the clinic.
Medical Pathology Labs provides pathology reading for pap smears.
St. Paul’s Children’s Foundation leads a nutrition class for children and their mothers.
Smith County Agrilife trains volunteers to teach the nutrition and diabetes programs.
Smith County Public Health District treats patients with sexually transmitted diseases, TB and HIV. This organization also helps educated Bethesda’s patients and assists with “Shots Across Texas” immunizations.
TEJAS Missions helps support the dental program with equipment, supplies and volunteers.
Texas Spine and Joint Hospital donates medical services.
Trinity Clinic Radiologists provides x-ray reading for plain films at no cost.
Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and Clinics donates medical services.
Tyler Anesthesiology Association provides anesthesiology services for surgeries contributed by local hospitals and doctors.
Tyler Pathology provides pathology specimen readings.
Tyler Radiology Associates provides readings on x-rays performed on site or contributed from other locations.
University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler donates medical services.
